art and became a Fine Arts major at San Jose State University in 1958
Like many women before and since, her ambitions were side- tracked by marriage and children. As a single working parent for years, she struggled to find time, but pursued her art work........ Now those
years of struggle are behind her. She creates daily in her home studio.Participates in Gallery exhibits.Sells her paintings, drawings, prints and cards.Has illustrated books and articles and
with your support of this website she hopes to supplement her income and continue creating Art
Margaret is intensely focused on tehnique, and she has honed her skills and has emerged as a dynamic colorist. Equally drawn to subjects as varied as the human form or as static as the common chair or a pair of shoes. She paints large and draws them in vivid awareness of hidden colors she finds within shadows. Her interpretation of common place objects is bold and strong and exciting to view; Influenced by such artists as Gauguin,Matisse, and her contemporary favorites
Wayne Thiebaud, and Alice Neal ...She delights in creating!
